Simply Exceptional
Ghana’s Festival of Lights is now in its second year following an extremely successful launch in 2021, which saw more than 1,000 tickets sold. We also welcomed a notable number of performing artists to our stages and hosted more than 20 vendors – an exceptional feat considering we were still subject to COVID-19 restrictions that somewhat limited what we could do.
The event is upping the ante in 2022, where it will run over a total of three days. During this period, families and the greater Ghanaian community will convene to celebrate and support their shared love of all things local. This year will also be unlike any other, as it marks the beginning of a new era for end-of-year events and festivals in Ghana as we look forward to a restriction-free experience together.
Hosted at Independence Square, Accra, locals and tourists alike can enjoy a multitude of performances by some of their favorite acts, and browse hundreds of stalls selling food, clothes, artisanal products, and more. With dozens of activities to choose from and no shortage of things to do, the event appeals to all ages – whether you’re 1 or 101
